Overview

Adviser IQ Ltd is a technology provider, not an FCA-regulated entity. However, the Platform is built to enable UK FCA-regulated firms to meet their regulatory obligations efficiently and evidentially. This page describes the regulatory frameworks we design against and how Adviser IQ supports compliance with them.

FCA Consumer Duty

The Platform scaffolds all four Consumer Duty outcomes (Products & Services, Price & Value, Consumer Understanding, Consumer Support) with automated evidence capture. The annual Board Report generator auto-drafts from real firm data. See Consumer Duty features.

MCOB & FCA Handbook

Mortgage Conduct of Business rules embedded in case workflows: affordability documented, suitability letters structured to MCOB expectations, disclosure requirements scheduled. Every piece of advice audit-trailed.

ICOBS (Protection)

Insurance Conduct of Business rules embedded in protection scaffold: need analysis documented, demands & needs captured, product comparisons logged, suitability rationalised per recommendation.

Money Laundering Regulations (MLR 2017 + amendments)

AML workflows: client due diligence, enhanced due diligence for high-risk cases, source of funds capture, ongoing monitoring, MLRO dashboard, SAR filing template. PEP and sanctions screening via ComplyAdvantage integration.

SMCR (Senior Managers & Certification Regime)

Senior manager responsibilities mapped, certified staff register maintained, fit & proper assessments scheduled annually, breaches logged. Suited to DA firms; AR firm model supported under principal oversight via IQ Principal's AR network module.

UK GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018

Financial Promotions

Financial promotions approval workflow: draft, compliance review, sign-off, publish, log, expire. Designed to support the firm's s21 FSMA obligations.

Complaints handling (DISP)

Complaints module aligned with DISP: log, acknowledge within 5 days, investigate, resolve, report to FCA as required. Root-cause analysis template included.

Training & Competence (TC)

Structured T&C framework for DA and AR firms: competency assessment, CPD recording, file review sampling, supervisor sign-off, recertification cycles.

Our Risk & Compliance Committee reviews emerging UK regulatory change quarterly. Material changes are communicated to customer firms and, where relevant, translated into product updates.
